Brioche de Maman
Today I woke up from the deliciously sweet smell of something baking.
I wasn’t sure exactely what it was… and when I went to check in the kitchen I had a big smile.
My mom made Brioche, one of the most popular french pastries known in the world.
So here we go, I want to share this lovely recipe with you:
Ingredients:
400gr of flour
60gr of soft butter
50gr of sugar
3 eggs
4 tsp of crème fraiche
5gr of baking yeast
1 pinch of salt
Directions:
Let the sugar melt in some Table Spoons of water, filter the flour, add salt, soft butter, crème fraiche, the egg yolk of 2 eggs and the beaten egg white.
Mix the ingredients while wetting up with the sugar-syrup. And add the yeast diluted in water. Mix the dough a little more, until soft.
Put the dough in a terrine, cover it up with a cloth and let it rise.
Stretch out the dough, until it gets the shape of a Brioche Bread and put it on the sheet steel of the oven. Mark the Brioche with a couple of diagonal incisions. Then baste it with the last egg yolk. Finally let it bake on the oven for about 25-30 min. On 220 degrees celsius.
Enjoy it with butter and jam or butter only!
