Tiramisu with coffee liqueur
Tiramisu is an “Evergreen” dessert that you can serve in any season.
After Christmas we’re still longing for some sweet bites. This tiramisu will stimulate your senses and satisfy you and your guests. The creamy texture layered over the fluffy biscuits and the coffee liqueur is an amazing combination and gives you a great sugar and coffein kick.
Instead of a cafe liqueur you can also use Amaretto, rum or your favourite spirit or leave out the alcohol completely.
4 Servings (with 6 biscuits p. person)
Ingredients:
250g of Macarpone
2-3 tbsp of cream
I egg yolk
2-3 tbsp of sugar
A pinch of vanilla sugar
200g of biscuits
250ml of strong coffee
approx. 30ml coffee liqueur
Directions:
1 )Whip your cream until stiff then prepare your mascarpone mixing it with sugar, an egg yolk ( to make it more creamy) and a little bit of vanilla sugar until creamy.
I first used a fork to mash it up and then a spoon to stir it. When its creamy enough add 2-3 tbsp of the whip cream. Pour your coffee liqueur in your normal coffee.
2) Gently dip your biscuits in cold strong coffee just enough to be soaked a bit. Make sure to not let them absorb too much liquid otherwise they’ll get too soft and might break and make the dessert too slobbery.
3) Then place the biscuits side by side until you have a beautiful row.
Slowly pour the cream over your biscuits until you cover them up, you can use a big spoon to help you with the process. Now comes the second layer (you repeat the exact same process).
Finally you dust your Tiramisu with baking cocoa (it’s important to use dark chocolate here)
4) Refrigerate over night and impress your guests the next day :)
