Maybe a good inspiration for your Christmas dessert?
Ingredients:
200g dark chocolate
2 tbsp cream
200ml cream
2 small gingerbread biscuits
100ml mulled wine
1 zest of an organic orange
2 tbsp cornflour
300g sour cherries from the jar (drained weight)
350ml juice of the sour cherries from the jar
1 gingerbread for the topping
Steps:
Melt the dark chocolate in a water bath. Mix the melted chocolate with the 2 tbsp cream and stir thoroughly. Set aside briefly.
In the meantime, whip the second part of the cream until stiff. Cut the gingerbread into bite-sized cubes.
Pour the mulled wine into a deep saucepan and add a zest of the organic orange. Bring everything to boil once briefly and then simmer for a further 6-7 minutes. Remove the orange zest.
In a small bowl, mix the cornflour with a little water so that the starch dissolves. Now add the starch to the red wine/mulled wine and stir constantly until the liquid thickens. Then add the cherries and the cherry juice directly and fold in carefully. Remove the pan from the heat and leave to cool.
Now layer the gingerbread-chocolate cream alternately with the mulled wine-cherry cream in the glasses.
Top everything with a few finely chopped gingerbread cubes and then enjoy.
Merry Christmas! ☃️💫
